Introduction: Understanding Polling Agent Performance
Once your Polling Agent is live and collecting responses, the Agent Overview page becomes your central command center for understanding how your polls are performing and what insights they are generating.
Important: Performance metrics are tracked at the agent level, not at the individual poll level. This means you can see exactly how each polling agent is contributing to engagement and data collection goals.
This guide covers the performance dashboard specifically for Polling Agents.
Accessing Agent Overview
From the main navigation sidebar, click
Agents. In the Agents list, click on the title of the polling agent you want to review.
You will land on the Overview tab.

The Overview page is divided into several key sections.

Scenario | What It Means | Action |
|---|---|---|
"Data for this journey is being generated" | Agent is new or recently updated; metrics are still processing | Wait a few minutes and refresh the page |
High Screen Loads but low Engagements | Users see the poll but don't vote | Review poll question clarity or visual prominence |
Low Avg Time Spent | Users are voting quickly or ignoring the poll | Consider more engaging or thought-provoking questions |
High Engagements but low Conversions | Users vote but don't click CTAs | Review CTA relevance or positioning |
Top Engagements shows a poll with low completion | That specific poll may be unclear or uninteresting | Edit or replace that poll |
Page Analytics shows zero engagement on certain pages | Poll may not be placed correctly on those pages | Review placement settings for that page type |
Best Practices for Monitoring Polling Agent Performance
1. Preview Before Launching
Always use Live Preview to test your poll on representative URLs before going live. Verify placement, styling, and response collection.
2. Review Top Engagements Weekly
Identify which poll questions drive the most responses. Use high-performing questions as templates for future polls.
3. Compare Poll Performance by Page
Use Page Analytics to see where your polls perform best. A poll might work well on blog posts but poorly on product pages.
4. Track Conversion Funnel
Monitor the drop-off from:
Screen Loads → Screen Impressions → Engagements → Conversions
Each step reveals optimization opportunities.
5. Use Seasonal Time Filters
Compare performance during event periods vs. off-peak times. Polls often perform differently based on audience mindset.
6. Correlate with Traffic Sources
Match engagement spikes with your marketing calendar. Did a newsletter or social campaign drive more poll responses?
