Whova Integration Guide

Overview

This guide explains how to connect Bridged with Whova to read event content including attendee data, agenda/session information, exhibitor details, and speaker profiles. The integration supports reading this data for activation, qualification, and nurture playbooks where event context is needed.

Whova is an all-in-one event management solution that features an agenda builder where organizers manage sessions and speaker profiles easily. Attendees receive real-time updates and push notifications for upcoming sessions .

Primary Use Case: Read Event Content

For Bridged's event experience integrations, the primary use case is reading event-related data, including:

Data Type

Use in Bridged

Attendee data

Personalize outreach and qualification conversations

Agenda/Session data

Answer attendee questions about schedules and session details

Speaker profiles

Provide speaker bios and session information

Exhibitor information

Support exhibitor-related queries

⚠️ Integration Note

Whova does not offer a direct REST API for programmatic data extraction. The primary method for integrating with Whova is via Zapier (a third-party automation platform) . This means Bridged can receive event data from Whova through webhooks triggered by Zapier.

Recommendation: Use Zapier webhooks for automated syncs. Whova supports various Zapier triggers including "New Attendee," "New Order," and "New Event" .

Step 1: Set Up Zapier Connection

  1. Create a Zapier account (free tier available for basic automations)

  2. In Zapier, search for Whova as the trigger app

  3. Select a trigger event:

Trigger

Description

New Attendee

Triggers when a new attendee registers

New Order

Triggers when a new order is placed

New Event

Triggers when a new event is created

  1. Connect your Whova account to Zapier (follow Zapier's authentication prompts)

  2. Set the action to Webhook pointing to Bridged endpoint:

    • URL: https://gateway.bridged.media/webhooks/whova

  3. Map Whova fields to the webhook payload

  4. Test and publish your Zap

Step 2: Configure Bridged to Receive Webhooks

  1. Log in to your Bridged dashboard

  2. Navigate to the Integrations section. If you do not see this section, contact support@bridged.media

  3. Click WhovaConnect Account

  4. Select Webhook as your connection method

  5. Copy your unique webhook URL from Bridged

  6. Paste this URL into your Zapier webhook action configuration

Step 3: Alternative - Manual CSV Export

If automated sync is not required:

  1. Log in to your Whova Event Management Console

  2. Navigate to Attendees or Registration section

  3. Export attendee data as CSV

  4. Navigate to Agenda section to export session/speaker data

  5. Upload CSV files to Bridged via dashboard

Bulk sync limit: Each bulk operation is limited to 50 records per request.

Step 4: Configure Sync Settings
